Love's Revival: An Ode to Her

There's a girl who made me feel so alive,
Like a teenager, in my adulthood, I'd strive.
Honestly, I'm happier than I've been in years,
Her presence brings joy, dispels my fears.

She gives me butterflies with her saree's grace,
I'm left in awe, my heart starts to race.
Her lips and her hair, a sight to behold,
Words can't express, how they shine like gold.

She's a match for my vibe, like a fairytale dream,
The girl that my family adores, it seems.
And as for me, it's not just a lie,
I've fallen for her, my heart can't deny.

Love at first sight, it's what I believe,
Escaping a toxic past, in her, I find reprieve.
Only twice in a lifetime, I've known this sensation,
She's a woman of beauty and admiration.

I've fallen so hard, I'll break any barrier,
For a future with her, I'm a dedicated carrier.
Her scent, her words, and the way she treats me,
Every little detail, I cherish, you see.

Our vibes align, in perfect synchronization,
Even her annoyances, bring pure elation.
I love her completely, it's utterly true,
In every way possible, in all that she'll do.

In the shadow of Kolkata's memories, We were good as strangers, life at ease. Through Princep Ghat and Rabindra Sarovar's grace, Our bond blossomed, time couldn't erase. Bunking classes for the thrill, Exploring streets, a friendship to fulfill. Hand in hand on Kolkata's roads we'd roam, A tale of friendship finding its home. But beneath the surface, a truth untold, A situationship, my heart's grip loosened, cold. I played the side character in your story, A lost ship without its sailor in the sea of worry. Silent Weeps In The Dark

Dear Mom, How are you? I hope everything is fine at home. I am also good at my in-laws. Yes Mom, I'm able to pretend like everything is fine, just the way you taught me. However, sometimes it really hurts whenever my husband hits me with his leather belt in his drunken stupor. I use my make-up skills everyday just to hide all the scars he has given me. Mom, I know we are poor and we cannot manage the dowry anymore, I still hope somehow, someday you will save me. Mom, my heart aches even more whenever he verbally abuses me and my family. He even calls me a h*e!  Mom! I'm really sorry. I wish my skintone was lighter, then their demand for dowry wouldn't have been this much.  Mom, do you know that last night he and his mom burnt my left hand with a cigarette?  Whenever a relative comes to my in-laws house, I always try to put on a fake smile and show that I'm happy here. Still I don't know why, they ask me, "why do you look so thin?", " Are you ok? "
